TORQUE mode is an open-loop control of the drum. This is usually done when the drum is required to 'power-assist' a media roller. Left unchecked, with no mechanical component in contact with the drum in torque mode the drum would eventually accelerate to unsafe speeds. The drum velocity is limited to approximately 100 RPM in torque mode. If this velocity is exceeded, this error is generated drum control automatically switches to IDLE mode.
